Huawei Top Chinese Company in Globally Registered Patents

Statistics by the Chinese SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office) reveal that Huawei ranked first among Chinese companies in terms of globally registered patents in the first half of 2005 with a total of 1,231. The company itself expects to register more than 3,000 patents for the full year 2005, 500 of which will be applied for outside of China.
